APLA’s crystal methamphetamine program aims to reduce the risk of HIV infection and the social isolation caused by the use of crystal meth. The program consists of risk-reduction trainings, support groups and community events with gay men who use methamphetamine.

Provides free outpatient substance abuse treatment for gay and bisexual men who use methamphetamine. The program combines group counseling with an intervention that gives rewards for submitting urine samples that show no recent use of methamphetamine. The program lasts six months: Phase I consists of groups three nights per week for eight weeks. Phase II consists of group one night a week for 24 more weeks.
The WeHo Streets program provides HIV risk reduction services to gay and bisexual males, men who have sex with men and male-to-female transgender women West Hollywood community members. This is met by conducting street and venue based outreach and providing outreach contacts, encounters, and distributing risk reduction supplies. Referrals to ancillary services are offered to support high-risk individuals in achieving their HIV risk-reduction goals.
